These eco friendly, Fair Trade placemats are truly Ethiopian. They are woven on an Ethiopian cotton warp with hand spun, Ethiopian Eri silk weft. The weft is naturally dyed in small batches using coffee as the dye. The placemats are hemmed on two sides with the selvedge edge on the other sides. The Beyond Burlap was one of the first collections Sabahar ever produced for export way back in 2008!

65% silk, 35% cotton. The silk is Ethiopian hand spun Eri silk and the cotton is hand spun Ethiopian cotton. the silk is pot dyed in the natural dye of coffee.
