The Queen Taitu is a light weight, eco friendly traditional Ethiopian shawl. The ‘tibeb’ design is a revered, uniquely Ethiopian design. Artisans handpick the threads to create the geometric pattern which is made in mulberry silk. The shawl itself is made of bleached white, lightweight cotton. The edges are adorned with our signature hand-braided fringes. This shawl is named after Empress Taitu who reigned in Ethiopia from 1889 to 1913.
