These heavily textured shawls are made from the combination of dark cotton warps and natural, hand spun Eri silk in the weft. The shawls are woven looser so one can really see and appreciate the irregularity of the hand spun silk. The two edges are finished with a band of color and hand tied fringes.

65% silk, 35% cotton. The weft is hand spun, Ethiopian silk from Arba Minch in southern Ethiopia. The warp is dark grey machine spun Ethiopian cotton.
