The Omo design has been around for years at Sabahar, as they are so popular. These are classic beach towels. They are made of Ethiopian hand spun cotton making them super soft. Every time you wash them, they are more and more absorbent. The Ethiopian weavers make these on their traditional, two-harness looms which creates a flat weave. They are lightweight, durable, and fast drying. They are great for the bathroom, the beach, the pool, the sauna but also can be worn as a shawl or used as a throw on a couch or the bottom of the bed. They are finished with our classic hand tied fringe. These towels are named after the beautiful Omo river in Southern Ethiopia.

100% cotton. The weft is entirely made from hand spun Ethiopian cotton. The warp is machine spun Ethiopian cotton.

Our family has been using and giving these towels for about 10 years and they are still going strong! We LOVE them. They are used for our showering as the are so generous and soft, but also the perfect beach towel as they roll up small, lay out large, dry quickly and are gorgeous. They have also been used as table toppers and couch throws and I love giving them as a baby gift because they can be used as a baby blanket and then a towel as they grow up. These towels are absolute gems.
